About new album once again.
Closer it finally comes! The recording session is scheduled for the end of May. We still have a coupla things to decide but it's mostly shaped now. The album, yet untitled, will consist of 10 songs plus there'll be a few interesting (we hope!) bonus tracks for limited edition. 5 of the new songs were already presented to Moscow audience at the show at 'Samolet' club on 2nd of April. (One of them, 'Krada-reka' ('The Fire River') is on the setlist for a year or so now, in fact.)
We'll be keeping you updated.

Butterfly Temple's lead singer Sergey «Abrey» Abramov has started his first solo project called 'Omela' (which is 'mistletoe' in Russian). According to its mastermind Omela is 'a combination of mid-tempo atmospheric dark metal and classic rock with a little doomy twist and was influenced by such likes as Pink Floyd, Anathema, Empyrium etc.' BT's keyboardist and main composer Aven is also in the ranks. Check the band's Official web-site. Although the web-site is still being shaped (i.e. it lacks English section) you can still get a taster of what Omela is about finding some videos and music samples.

An update in a line-up department.
We have to announce that we parted ways with singer Polina Yashkova, who stayed with us since spring '2008. The split wasn't caused by any personal reasons or any of the kind. At some point we just comprehended that we just didn't fit in together musically and there was no chance of holding on together. We wish Polina all the best with her future projects as well as with private life. We'll start looking for pro female singer capable of singing in traditional manner for the record. If we don't succeed Abrey again will sing all the parts on a new album.

News 'bout a new album.
We decided to postpone recording session as we all feel the material is still raw. The recording will now begin in March — May '2009 and not in the fall of '2008 as it was originally planned. We don't want to make haste and are determined to make everything right in production department in order not to make the same mistakes — as it was with 'Mara' album, for example, when many things were done in one great rush and thus production suffered severely.

Hails, lads and lasses! After more or less active touring in last six months we are going to take a little breath in and concentrate on writing and working on a new material (not to mention well-deserved summer holidays!) We'll be back in September, for Coyote Open Air in Moscow on 09-20-2008. Details will follow. And then the work on a new album will resume. At the moment we're planning to enter studio this fall. Six songs are on their way to fulfillment now. We'll keep you updated.
